Indeed, Snapmaker does share some common values with Apple. We are on a mission to bring industrial experiences of digital manufacturing to consumers, by consumers, we mean everyone. The same path that Apple had taken to make PCs accessible and easy-to-use for everyone. Though the difference is that we have modular hardware and open-source software and firmware.

It has been almost 10 year since the great innovator Steve Jobs went to meet his Maker, while “Stay Hungry, Stay Foolish” remains one of most popular mottos for those who are crazy enough to think they can change the world, even if their ideas might sound foolish in the beginning.

In the maker community, we have seen people making wonderful things that we would never have imagined. It might sound foolish to spend hours or even days for a crazy idea, but it’s been proven every single day that “learning by doing” is the best way to master new things.

Inspired by those pioneers, the makers in Snapmaker have created digital manufacturing tools in a non-traditional way. We are not trying to replace the giants in the 3D printing industry, laser engraving industry and the CNC machining industry where they have much more experience. Instead, as makers ourselves, we knew a versatile industrial-quality and consumer-friendly machine that can be easy-to-use and space-efficient for a home workshop is what people had been waiting for. That’s why we have created the 3-in-1 modular machines, Snapmaker Original and Snapamaker 2.0. Now we have taken a step forward to create a unique tool for 4-axis rotary carving and engraving, Snapmaker 2.0 Rotary Module, calling all the makers to start a new adventure in a new dimension. Public pre-order will start on April 1st, mark the date!
